Learning
Today, we discussed multiple aspects of learning. To go along with the personal curriculum, one aspect of learning is interest. Children sit through classes that they have no personal interest in because they are forced to do so. What do these kids take away from it? Almost nothing. You have to have a little bit of interest in a topic to learn about it. By doing the personal curriculum, we get to learn exactly what we want to learn in a learning environment. We have ambition when we want to learn something and we most likely keep what we learn because it was learned with enthusiasm. Learning is supposed to be fun, and when we take it upon ourselves to do it, it can be accomplished as we want it to be.
